Grand Canyon National Park

Grand Canyon East Rim Drive

Grand Canyon

Horseshoe Bay

Departing from Las Vegas early in the morning, embark on a journey along the legendary Route 66, beginning your adventure through natural wonders. Your first stop is the Grand Canyon National Park, where you can immerse yourself in the magnificent scenery sculpted by millions of years of geological evolution. You can stroll to various viewpoints to capture breathtaking views, or optionally take a helicopter tour for a bird's-eye view of the canyon's vastness and depth. Afterwards, head to Horseshoe Bend to admire the graceful curve of the Colorado River under the golden sunset, feeling the tranquility and power of nature. Arrive in Page in the evening and check into your hotel, concluding a fulfilling day.

Grand Canyon National Park · South & East Rims Grand Canyon National Park - Southeast Twin Gorges
Dubbed "the most un-Earthly place on Earth," the Grand Canyon is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and topped the BBC's list of "50 Places to See Before You Die." Standing on the canyon's edge and looking down, the earth seems to have been torn apart, with layers of rock walls unfolding like an epic tapestry. No matter how many scenic spots you've visited, the Grand Canyon remains breathtaking, as if you've stepped onto another planet.

Mather Point South Gorge (40-minute visit)
As one of the most popular viewpoints on the South Rim of the Grand Canyon, Mather Point offers breathtaking panoramic views. On a clear day, you can see the canyon stretches approximately 48 kilometers to the east and 96 kilometers to the west, a truly magnificent vista. Looking down into the canyon, you can see the winding Colorado River, the tranquil Phantom Ranch, and the intricate network of hiking trails.
For a completely new perspective on the Grand Canyon, consider a helicopter tour (at your own expense, advance booking required). Departing from the South Rim and soaring over the world's largest yellow pine forest—Kaibab National Forest—the breathtaking Grand Canyon unfolds before you from a breathtaking "God's-eye view" as the forest edge disappears abruptly. This is one of the most unforgettable experiences.

Desert View Point East Gorge of the canyon (40-minute visit)
Desert View Point is one of the most iconic viewpoints on the East Rim of the Grand Canyon, offering expansive views. Climbing the iconic stone observation tower, you can overlook how the winding Colorado River gradually transitions from the narrow Marble Canyon into the more expansive Grand Canyon. The East Rim's layered and colorful landscape adds a distinct visual experience to the Grand Canyon, making it an ideal location for photography and sightseeing.

 Horseshoe Bend Sunset (60-minute tour)
Named one of the top ten best photography locations in the United States by National Geographic, Horseshoe Bend gets its name from the Colorado River's dramatic 360-degree bend, carving out a horseshoe-shaped canyon. Standing on the towering red rock cliffs, the emerald green river shimmers under the setting sun, its reflection contrasting beautifully with the azure sky and crimson cliffs, creating a breathtakingly beautiful scene. Horseshoe Bend at dusk is a truly unforgettable and awe-inspiring moment on any trip.

第3天 Lake Powell - Antelope Canyon - Monument Valley - Arches National Park

行程:

Lake Powell

Antelope Cave

Arches National Park

Depart from Page in the early morning for a short stop at the picturesque Lake Powell, where you can experience the tranquility and grandeur of the lake and mountains. Then head to the world-renowned photography destination, Antelope Canyon, where sunlight filters through narrow crevices in the red sandstone, creating dreamlike light and shadow effects on the rock walls – every step offers a breathtaking composition.
In the afternoon, continue driving to Monument Valley, a red plateau known as "the road to the sky temple," a classic backdrop for countless Western films. Arrive at Arches National Park in the late afternoon for the perfect time to photograph the famous Delicate Arch at sunset. The golden rays of the setting sun cast a stunning glow on the red rocks, creating a breathtaking scene. After the tour, proceed to the town of Moab for hotel check-in and rest.

Lake Powell ( approximately 20 minutes for a distant view)
Lake Powell, straddling Arizona and Utah, is an artificial lake formed by the construction of the Glen Canyon Dam on the Colorado River, and is the second largest man-made lake in the United States. Named after 19th-century explorer General John Wesley Powell, the lake is approximately 299 kilometers long with a shoreline stretching over 3,000 kilometers. The stunning scenery, with its interplay of lake and mountain landscapes, and the striking contrast of red rock formations against the azure waters, has made it a popular filming location for movies such as *Gravity*, offering truly spectacular views.

 Antelope Canyon (90-minute visit)
Antelope Canyon, located in northern Arizona, USA, is formed from soft sandstone by various erosion forces over millions of years. During the monsoon season, flash floods frequently flow into the canyon. Due to the sudden increase in rainfall, the flash floods have extremely fast flow rates, and the narrow channel further narrows the riverbed, thus increasing the vertical erosion force. This has created the corridor at the bottom of Antelope Canyon and the hard, smooth, flowing edges of the canyon walls. Although Antelope Canyon is a slot canyon, once you delve into its depths, you'll find it resembles a magnificent art palace. The canyon walls appear soft but are actually very hard, with the rock surface looking meticulously polished, and layers flowing down the rock face. When sunlight shines into the tranquil canyon, the dance of light and shadow releases its charm.

 Monument Valley (60-minute visit)
Monument Valley, one of the most iconic landscapes of the American Southwest, is renowned for its magnificent red sandstone pillars, making it a classic backdrop for numerous films and advertisements and a true "symbol of the American West." The scene in the movie *Forrest Gump* where Forrest stops running after more than three years was filmed here—the highway HWY 163, stretching into the distance, is affectionately known as "the road to the heavenly temple."

Arches National Park (60-minute visit)
This natural arch, standing alone atop red rock, is the most iconic landscape in Arches National Park and is considered a symbol of Utah. It is not a window in the rock face, but rather stands isolated between heaven and earth, seemingly suspended above the desert, its grandeur breathtaking.
Starting from the Delicate Arch Trailhead, it requires a 3-mile round trip hike (about 2 hours). Most of the trail consists of exposed rocks with no shade, and the last section is close to the edge of a cliff. The scenery is stunning, but it requires a certain level of physical and mental strength.
 - Friendly Reminder:
• Children under 5 years old, seniors over 70 years old, or those with chronic illnesses such as heart disease or asthma are not recommended to participate in the hike.
• Those with a fear of heights should carefully assess whether to climb to the summit.
• Those who do not participate in the hike can enjoy the beautiful views of the arch from the observation deck.
An experienced guide will accompany you to ensure your safety and comfort as you appreciate the beauty of this masterpiece of nature.

The Grand Prismatic Spring

Old Faithful

Morning Glory Pool

Early this morning, we depart from Salt Lake City for the enchanting Yellowstone National Park. Today, we'll take you on an in-depth exploration of many of the park's iconic landmarks, including the vibrant Grand Prismatic Spring, the majestic Old Faithful Geyser, and the geothermal wonders that resemble a natural palette.
A special highlight of the trip is also included – Yellowstone Bear World (optional, at your own expense). Here, you'll have the opportunity to ride in a wilderness adventure vehicle, observe various wild animals up close, and immerse yourself in the charm of nature.

 Great Salt Lake (30-minute visit)
The Great Salt Lake, the world's second-largest saltwater lake and North America's largest inland salt lake, is located in western Utah, USA. It is bordered by the Rocky Mountains to the east and desert to the west, and consists of 10 islands. It is also a wildlife sanctuary, attracting millions of migratory birds annually. The lake's salinity is as high as 25%, second only to the Dead Sea, and only a few types of algae that can tolerate extremely high salinity can survive in it.

Yellowstone Bear World (30-minute visit, optional) .
A trip to Yellowstone National Park or Grand Teton National Park isn't complete without a drive-through adventure to Yellowstone Bear World. Yellowstone Bear World is a bear-themed wildlife sanctuary and the only drive-through wildlife reserve in the Greater Yellowstone area. In addition to American black bears and grizzly bears, it features a variety of large animals unique to North America, such as bison, gray wolves, elk, and caribou. In designated areas, visitors can get out of their cars and observe wildlife up close, including roaming livestock, various birds, and deer.
Note: If no guests participate, the tour guide will lead the group directly to the next attraction.

 Yellowstone National Park
Yellowstone National Park, the world's first national park, is located in the Los Angeles Mountains, known as the "backbone of America," on a lava plateau between the northern and central Los Angeles Mountains in the western United States. Established on March 1, 1872, it is renowned for its rich wildlife and geothermal resources. Named after the source of the Yellowstone River, the park boasts hundreds of recorded animal species. Native Americans have inhabited the Yellowstone area for at least 11,000 years. Geothermal wonders are its hallmark, and the park's natural landscape is divided into five main areas: the Mammoth Area, the Roosevelt Area, the Canyon Area, the Geyser Area, and the Lake Area, each with its own unique characteristics.

The Grand Prismatic Hot Spring (40-minute visit)
Also known as the Grand Prismatic Spring or the Eye of the Earth, it is located at coordinates 44.524569, -110.837975 in Yellowstone National Park, USA. With a diameter of approximately 100 meters, it is the largest hot spring in the United States and the third largest in the world. It is about 75 to 91 meters wide and 49 meters deep, with a water temperature reaching 85 °C , and approximately 2000 liters of 71-degree Celsius water gushing out every minute. It was first discovered by explorers in 1839. The amazing thing about the Grand Prismatic Spring is that the color of the lake changes with the seasons. In spring, the lake changes from emerald green to a golden orange-red. In the height of summer, the chlorophyll decreases, so the lake displays a vibrant orange, red, or yellow hue. But in the depths of winter, due to lack of sunlight, the water turns a deep, dark green.

Artist Paint Pots Yellowstone Palette (30-minute tour)
Also known as the Artist's Paint Bucket or Painter's Paint Bucket, it is an important tourist attraction in Yellowstone National Park. The colorful landscape is a key feature of this attraction, combining four typical geothermal features: hot springs, mud pots, fumaroles, and geysers.

Old Faithful Geyser Old Faithful Geyser (90-minute visit)
Old Faithful Geyser is a geyser located in Yellowstone National Park, USA, named for its consistent and regular eruptions. It was named during the Washburn-Lanford-Dorn Expedition in 1870, becoming the first named geyser in Yellowstone National Park. Currently, it erupts approximately every 90 minutes, each eruption lasting 4-5 minutes, with water columns reaching over 40 meters high, creating a spectacular sight, and it never stops. The geyser and the adjacent Old Faithful Inn are listed as part of the Old Faithful Historic District.

 Morning Glory Pool (75-minute visit)
Morning Glory Pool, located at the end of the Upper Geyser Basin in Yellowstone National Park, is named for the vibrant morning glory-like colors that appear around its edges. It is one of Yellowstone's most iconic hot springs. The water's color gradually transitions from deep blue to yellow and orange, creating distinct layers under sunlight, making it a highly scenic attraction. Powered by a continuously heating underground spring, Morning Glory Pool boasts extremely high water temperatures. Its unique color variations, combined with the surrounding steaming landscape, make it a key scenic spot for visitors exploring the Upper Geyser Basin on foot.

第6天 Yellowstone Lake Hayden Valley Grand Canyon of the Yellowstone Artists' Point Upper Falls Yellowstone Ecosystem Hot Springs Mammoth Hot Springs Roosevelt Arch

行程:

Yellowstone Lake

Mammoth Hot Springs

In the morning, we departed from the East Entrance of Yellowstone and headed first to the picturesque Yellowstone Lake area. This is the largest alpine lake in Yellowstone National Park. We can choose to stroll along the lakeside and enjoy the beautiful scenery, or we can experience a self-drive boat trip on Yellowstone Lake at our own expense, taking a free water journey across the clear lake.
Next, we'll travel north along the Yellowstone Grand Loop and soon arrive at Hayden Valley, a region teeming with wildlife. This expansive subalpine valley, situated between Yellowstone Lake and Yellowstone Falls, is a popular spot for lucky bear, deer, and bison sightings. Afterward, we'll explore the spectacular Grand Canyon of the Yellowstone. Here, the rushing river plunges abruptly, forming the Upper and Lower Falls, creating layers of spray and a thunderous roar. We'll also stop at the famous Artist's Point—standing on the canyon wall, the colorful rock formations and the rushing water create a natural masterpiece, inspiring awe at the wonders of nature.
Afterwards, we will head to a natural hot spring in the Yellowstone ecosystem to relax and relieve travel fatigue. Next, we will visit Mammoth Hot Springs, where we can admire the unique limestone terraces up close from the boardwalk and also visit the visitor center to learn about Yellowstone's history and ecological culture.
Finally, we will arrive at the iconic Roosevelt Arch, the north entrance to Yellowstone. This historic stone arch has witnessed a century of development in Yellowstone National Park and serves as a perfect ending to today's journey.

Yellowstone Lake (30-minute visit)
Known as "the most unparalleled alpine lake," Yellowstone Lake is the largest lake in Yellowstone National Park and one of the world's highest-altitude lakes. The average annual water temperature is 5 degrees Celsius. Yellowstone Lake holds 340,000 tons of water, with an annual outflow of 30,000 tons, and the water is completely replaced approximately every 8-10 years. Observations since 1952 show that the annual fluctuation in Yellowstone Lake's water level does not exceed 6 feet. Yellowstone Lake freezes over for six months each year, from late December/early January to late May/early June, with ice layers ranging from several inches to two feet thick. Due to its size, depth, and local monsoon winds, Yellowstone Lake sometimes resembles a turbulent inland sea. In late summer, Yellowstone Lake is stratified by varying water temperatures; the surface water rarely exceeds 19 degrees Celsius, while the lower layers are much colder, making swimming impossible; humans can only survive for 20-30 minutes in these temperatures.
Optional activity at your own expense: 【Yellowstone Lake Boat】Each boat can carry a maximum of 6 people. Open from June 13th to September, depending on the weather (inside the park). Whether you can participate depends on the actual situation and cannot be booked in advance.

Hayden Valley (30-minute visit)
Hayden Valley, located on both sides of the road between the Mud Volcano and Canyon Junction on the Yellowstone Grand Loop, is the second best place in Yellowstone National Park for wildlife viewing, after Lamar Valley. The "valley" refers to a large grassland in front of a forest, with a river flowing through it, making it a suitable place for animals to forage at dawn and dusk. If you keep watch here with binoculars, you can often spot wolves or bears, making it one of the best places in Yellowstone National Park for wildlife viewing.

Grand Canyon of the Yellowstone (40-minute visit)
The Grand Canyon of Yellowstone ranks first among the 90 attractions in Yellowstone National Park and is a must-see. Located between Fishing Bridge and Tower, the canyon is formed by the Yellowstone River flowing from Yellowstone Lake, creating a rugged canyon stretching approximately 38 kilometers. This is the most magnificent and beautiful scenery in Yellowstone National Park. The 97-kilometer-long Yellowstone River is "the only river in the United States without a dam." Here, the river suddenly becomes rapid, creating two magnificent waterfalls that roar as they plunge into the Grand Canyon.

Artisit Point Yellowstone Artists' Point (30-minute visit)
Artist Point is located in the eastern part of Yellowstone National Park. From Artist Point, you can enjoy spectacular views of the interplay between high and low waterfalls, as well as breathtaking natural scenery composed of clear skies, turquoise waters, white spray, and tan canyon walls. Artist Point is also a popular spot for viewing the lower falls and enjoying Yellowstone's stunning landscape.
The best spot in the Grand Canyon features a waterfall with a drop of about 100 meters, giving the feeling of a waterfall plunging three thousand feet. Yellow and red rocks on both sides surround the area like colorful ribbons, and when the sunlight shines on them, they become even more magnificent.

Upper Yellowstone Falls Upper Waterfall Edge (30-minute visit)
The Upper Falls was formed by the Yellowstone River eroding softer rock. Located upstream, the 109-foot-high Upper Falls can be seen from the Upper Falls and Uncle Tom's Trail, where you can witness the spectacular sight of Yellowstone Falls up close.

Yellowstone Hot Springs Yellowstone Ecosystem Hot Springs (60-minute visit)
The underground hot springs, formed over many years within the Yellowstone National Park ecosystem, contain a variety of natural minerals beneficial to the human body. The beautiful and pleasant environment, combined with the relaxing hot springs, will wash away the fatigue of your journey, allowing you to fully enjoy the most relaxing moments of your trip.
Note: Towels can be brought by yourself or rented, with rental fees around US$3-5; swimsuits must be brought by yourself.

Mammoth Hot Springs (30-minute visit)
Mammoth Hot Springs is the world's largest known carbonate sedimentary hot spring. Its landscape is dominated by limestone terraces, also known as the hot terrace area, and can be divided into the upper terrace. The Mammoth Hot Springs consists of two terraces: the lower terraces and the upper terraces. The spring water originates from the Norris Geyser Basin and reaches temperatures of up to 77 °C . Numerous algae thrive in the springs, giving them a variety of colors, including brown, orange, red, and green. The flowing hot spring water cascades down the terraces, creating a magnificent, multicolored spectacle.

Roosevelt Arch (20-minute visit)
The 26th President of the United States, Franklin D. Roosevelt, laid the foundation stone for this arch in 1903. Located at the North Entrance of Yellowstone National Park, it is one of the park's main landmarks. The North Entrance is also the only gate in Yellowstone with a main entrance. After the arch was completed, Roosevelt inscribed ten words from a congressional act, "For the good and pleasure of the people," on it.

Yellowstone National Park

Grand Teton National Park

Salt Lake City

Temple Square

Today, we will first take you to visit the West Thumb Geyser Basin, located on the shore of Yellowstone Lake. Then, we will proceed to Grand Teton National Park, making a brief stop at Elk Antler Arches Park before heading to the Utah State Capitol and Temple Square. After this tour, we will officially conclude our in-depth Yellowstone National Park tour and drive to Salt Lake City. That evening, we will drop you off at the designated drop-off point in Salt Lake City to prepare for our journey to Zion National Park on Day 8.

West Thumb Geyser Basin West Thumb Geyser Basin (60-minute visit)
West Thumb Geyser Basin, located on the shore of Yellowstone Lake, was formed 150,000 years ago by a tectonic subsidence. The combination of hot geysers and lake water creates a unique, misty landscape: the steam rising from the hot springs rises amidst the shimmering green waters of Yellowstone Lake, reflecting against the backdrop of blue sky and white clouds, creating a scene unlike any other hot spring area in Yellowstone. This area is essentially a bay of Yellowstone Lake, where many geysers converge. The vents display a variety of colors, some transparent green, others a dark, cement-like black. The numerous vents create a beautiful, fantastical scene.

Elk Antler Arches Park Deer Antler Park (30-minute visit)
The park isn't large, but it features giant arches made of deer antlers in the four cardinal directions. The antlers are all hard and durable, making it a shame they aren't used to make deer antler tonics. These antlers aren't from hunting; they're from the large numbers of elk that migrate from the mountains to Jackson's National Elk Sanctuary every winter. In the spring, the antlers naturally shed and are replaced, leaving behind countless treasures after the elk leave.

Grand Teton National Park Grand Teton National Park (90-minute visit)
Established on February 26, 1929, and named after the highest peak in the Teton Mountains, Grand Teton National Park boasts a near-pristine ecosystem. Some prehistoric plants and animals still thrive here, and the oldest rocks have been identified as dating back 2.7 billion years. With its numerous lakes, rivers, and snow-capped mountains, including Jackson Lake and Jenny Lake, the park creates a tranquil world south of Yellowstone. Furthermore, Grand Teton National Park is home to an incredibly diverse array of wildlife, including bison, grizzly bears, black bears, and moose.

Utah State Capitol Utah State Capitol (30-minute visit)
The Utah State Capitol, located in Salt Lake City, rivals the scale and design of the U.S. Capitol in Washington, D.C. Its Byzantine-style dome gleams brilliantly in the sunlight. The interior is even more opulent and intricately decorated. The walls are made of polished marble, the ceilings are adorned with exquisite murals, and countless lifelike, finely sculpted figures stand within. Furthermore, given Utah's nickname, the "Honeycomb State," a prominent beehive sculpture stands in front of the building, a must-see for visitors to take photos.

Temple Square Temple Square (30-minute visit)
Temple Square is a 10-acre (4.0-hectare) complex located in downtown Salt Lake City and owned by The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Temple Square includes the Salt Lake City Temple, Salt Lake City Chapel, Salt Lake City Convention Center, the Seagull Monument, and two visitor centers. In 1964, the square was designated a National Historic Landmark to recognize the achievements of the Mormons in settling in Utah.
