Day 1: Boston - Whiteface Mountain - Lake Placid

Summary of the Day:

In the morning, guests will be picked up in Boston. Then, we will head to Whiteface Mountain in upstate New York's Adirondack Park, where we will get the chance to take a lift to the top of the mountain. Because Whiteface Mountain is closed after October 12th, we will instead visit High Falls Gorge on applicable dates. Afterward, we will move onto Lake Placid, where we will explore Main Street and the Olympic Center, as well as do some shopping and dining.

Adirondack Park, NY
This massive park is the largest of its kind in the country, as well as the largest National Historic Site. It encompasses all of upstate New York's Adirondack Mountains as well as some of the surrounding areas.

Whiteface Mountain
Whiteface Mountain is the fifth-tallest mountain in New York State and one of the High Peaks of the Adirondacks. Because of its relative isolation from the other High Peaks, it offers unparalleled views of the surrounding area.

High Falls Gorge
The High Falls Gorge is located near Lake Placid, New York amidst the Adirondack Mountains. It is the location where the Ausable River spills over the edge of Whiteface Mountain.

Olympic Center
The Olympic Center at Lake Placid, New York was the site of the famous 1980 Olympics, best known for the hockey showdown between the United States and Russia in which a scrappy American team dethroned the Russian powerhouse.

Lake Placid
This lake and its eponymous town in the Adirondack Mountains of Upstate New York are favorite vacation destinations for people all over New England. From hiking and mountain climbing to fishing and boating, there is never nothing to do!

Because Whiteface Mountain is closed after October 12th, we will instead visit High Falls Gorge on applicable dates.

Day 2: Ausable Chasm - Lake Champlain - Teddy Bear Factory - New England Maple Museum - Boston

Summary of the Day:

Ausable Chasm
People were visiting Ausable Chasm in the late 19th century, 22 years before the establishment of Adirondack Park itself. More than 10 million people over more than a century have some to visit the canyon.

Lake Champlain, VT
Sitting on the border between Vermont and New York, Lake Champlain is a beautiful destination, full of islands, lighthouses, and parks to explore. The sunsets over the wide, expansive area are truly a sight to behold.

Vermont Teddy Bear
The Vermont Teddy Bear Factory is a beloved state icon, which allows visitors to tour the facility and see firsthand all the work and loving care that goes on behind-the-scenes when making stuffed animals. Visitors can custom-make their own bear.

New England Maple Museum
Sitting in the foothills of the Green Mountains of Vermont, the name of this museum says it all! It is dedicated to the craft of maple syrup making, a New England tradition!
