Lake Louise,

Spiral Tunnel,

Emerald Lake,

Moraine Lake

In the morning, depart from the meeting point by private vehicle to deeply explore Lake Louise and Yoho National Park. You will have ample time to admire the charming scenery of Lake Louise, the jewel of the Canadian Rockies. The itinerary is as follows:

Lake Louise

Named after Princess Louise, a member of the British royal family, Lake Louise is the most famous lake in the Rocky Mountain National Parks. Fed by the Victoria Glacier, its glacial water contains rich minerals, creating its breathtakingly beautiful turquoise colour. On the lakeside stands the iconic Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise, perfectly complementing the mountain and lake scenery. Highlights include poppy blooms from June to July in summer and ice sculpture exhibitions in late January in winter. You may go canoeing on the lake, stroll along the shore, and enjoy a leisurely lunch here.

Guests on meal-inclusive tours will be arranged for a deluxe lunch at the hotel.(Duration: approx. 120 minutes)

Moraine Lake / Ten Peaks Valley

Nestled in the Ten Peaks Valley, Moraine Lake is truly a hidden gem. Most visitors hike up the moraine for panoramic views: crystal-clear blue waters framed by towering snow-capped mountains and glistening glaciers, leaving sightseers deeply impressed. Unsurprisingly, the Canadian government featured this iconic view on the 1969 edition of the Canadian $20 bill.(Duration: approx. 60 minutes)

Note: Moraine Lake is open from early June to early October. If closed, it will be replaced by Vermilion Lake.

Yoho National Park

The name “Yoho” comes from the Indigenous language, meaning “awe-inspiring, magnificent and unparalleled”. The park boasts rare geological formations and is a world-famous fossil site.

Spiral Tunnels

Please note that vehicles cannot enter these tunnels. Built by the railway company to overcome dangerous steep grades, they were constructed using Swiss engineering technology. Consisting of two interconnected circular tunnels bored into adjacent mountains, they form a figure eight shape, hence the name. You will see distant views of some tunnel entrances and exits.(Scenic drive past)

Emerald Lake

Visitors immediately understand how it got its name at first sight. Its brilliant emerald waters and lush mountain scenery form a picture-perfect landscape. You can go canoeing for a peaceful escape from the hustle and bustle. There are several log cabins along the lake, ideal for family vacations.(Duration: approx. 20 minutes)

Natural Bridge

Formed by differential erosion of rock layers, creating a natural rock arch over the riverbed. An interpretive display on the opposite riverbank explains the erosion process and future geological changes, making it a must-see for geology enthusiasts.(Duration: approx. 15 minutes)Lake Louise

Jasper,

Bow Lake

In the morning, travel past Crowfoot Glacier and Bow Lake before entering Jasper National Park. You may take the optional giant Ice Explorer snow coach onto the Athabasca Glacier, part of the vast 325 km² Columbia Icefield. Stand on ice up to 250 metres thick and walk along the thrilling glass-bottom Skywalk, suspended 280 metres high, for sweeping views of the Sunwapta Valley. Continue to Peyto Lake, nestled at the foot of 2,911 m Mount Caldron, fed by the Peyto Glacier from the southwest (subject to government opening hours). Glacial silt suspended in the water creates a stunning turquoise blue hue under sunlight.

Icefields Parkway

The stretch of highway from Lake Louise in Banff National Park to Jasper, Alberta, is known as the Icefields Parkway. Many regard it as the most scenic drive in the world.

Bow Lake

The largest lake along the Icefields Parkway and one of its most beautiful sights. Covering 3.21 km² with a maximum depth of 50 metres, its vivid turquoise waters perfectly reflect the surrounding snow-capped peaks and clear blue sky.

Columbia Icefield

The largest icefield remnant outside the Arctic Circle. Due to the dense glacial ice that does not refract sunlight, it shines with brilliant blue under clear skies. Meltwater from the icefield flows toward the Pacific Ocean, Atlantic Ocean and Arctic Ocean. This natural treasure was formed over four ice ages.
