Starting at Times Square, experience the art of Broadway and the energy of the NASDAQ. Then visit St. Patrick’s Cathedral on Fifth Avenue and feel its solemn atmosphere. Before heading downtown, we will board the USS Intrepid to learn about Cold War military power. After lunch, we head to Lower Manhattan. At Wall Street, we walk along the Canyon of Heroes and visit Trinity Church. Standing at the crossroads of world finance, you can take photos with the Fearless Girl and Charging Bull. We will then take a boat from Battery Park to see the Statue of Liberty. After the cruise, we walk across the Brooklyn Bridge and enjoy the skyline of Manhattan and the East River. The day ends at the 9/11 Memorial and the One World Observatory, where we overlook the city at sunset. As a Fortune 500 leader in specialty glass, it boasts one of the largest glass collections, and you can enjoy live glassblowing shows. Admission to the museum is at your own expense. Next we visit Buffalo, the second-largest city in New York State. We climb the observation tower for views of the Great Lakes and stroll through the Naval Park to learn about its shipping history. In the evening we arrive at Niagara Falls, one of the world’s three greatest waterfalls. We take a night tour of Goat Island to admire the colorful illuminated falls, then visit Luna Island for the summer fireworks show. Next, we board the iconic Maid of the Mist boat for an up-close experience in the mist of Horseshoe Falls.(When the boat is closed in winter, we will visit the Niagara Power Project, a landmark of the Second Industrial Revolution and the birth of the electric age.)We also walk the Cave of the Winds boardwalk (closed after Oct 20) to feel the powerful spray of American Falls. In the afternoon, we return to New York.
